Introducing the Wallington Junior Cricket Academy

We're excited to launch the Wallington Junior Cricket Academy, a development program designed to help aspiring young cricketers. Our focus is simple: developing better cricketers, better teammates, better leaders and better people.

The Academy will provide:

  • Specialist coaching including access to senior and external coaches

  • Advanced skill development

  • Leadership and mindset training

  • Individual development plans

  • Representative pathway support

  • Year-round cricket education

Whether your goal is senior cricket, representative cricket, Premier Cricket or beyond, the Wallington Junior Cricket Academy will provide the support, coaching and environment to help you reach your potential.

All Wallington CC Junior registered players, boys and girls, are eligible for the Academy at no extra cost. The Academy is in addition to regular team training. Non Wallington juniors will be $200.

Academy Updates!

We're thrilled to announce that the Wallington Junior Cricket Academy continues to grow, with three outstanding coaches and mentors joining the program to help develop the next generation of Bellarine cricketers
Alistair McCann (North Geelong Cricket Club) has been instrumental in North Geelong's success in recent years and brings a wealth of coaching expertise, leadership and player development experience.
Matthew Love has played Premier Cricket in Melbourne, Adelaide and internationally, providing our academy participants with valuable insights into high-performance cricket and pathways to elite competition.
Matthew O'Grady, Senior Lecturer in Exercise and Sport Science, adds a unique dimension to the academy, bringing specialist knowledge in athlete development, performance, movement and sports science.
The addition of Alistair, Matthew and Matthew further strengthens what is already shaping up to be an exceptional program for young cricketers. Their combined experience across coaching, elite playing pathways and sports science will provide academy participants with access to a depth of knowledge rarely available in regional junior cricket programs.
We can't wait to see our young players benefit from their expertise both on and off the field.
All registered Wallington CC junior players, both boys and girls, are eligible to participate in the Academy at no additional cost, and it is in addition to regular team training sessions.
For junior players who are not registered with Wallington CC, the Academy fee is $200.
